Brief Activities Of Guru Captain Chandroop
Capt. Chandroop, son of shri Abhay Ram was born on 11th May, 1930 in Vill & P.O. Sundana, Distt. Rohtak, Haryana. He joined indian army in 1948 where he distinguish himself as a wrestler and later as a coach. Capt. Chandroop was the National Champion in 1982 during his service in army. He rendered his services as a coach of the service team from 1966 to 1976 during which he produced many outstanding wrestlers including NETRAPAL ( Bharat Kesari and Bronz Madalist in Asian Games ) and VIJAY KUMAR. He Fought Three Battles for his country in 1962, 1965, and 1971 and recipients of many glories army awards during his army lifetime.
He helped to get job to 2700 boys in various Government Department in sports quota. i.e. Railways, BSF, Haryana Police, CISF, UP Police, Delhi Police and others departments. He promoted wrestling with the heart and souls.
On retirement from the army, Capt. Chandroop Established Vaidic Vyayamshala now known as Capt. Chandroop Vaidic vyayamshala, Plot No. 88,89,90, New Subzi Mandi Azadpur. Delhi Within his own resources and he did not get any kind of financial support from Central and State Governments. He established this Vyayamshala in 1979 and adopted children from SC/ST and rural areas throughout the country without considering caste, create, color and language. He borne entire expenditure for giving coaching to the trainees right from the age of 10 years. He has been giving training on an average of 300 wrestlers in a year. This Vyayamshala used to known as BEST AKHARA IN DELHI AND ADJECENT AREAS.
Guru Capt. Chandroop has produced the following outstanding country wrestling champions:

3. 15 Mahan Bharat Kesari Wrestlers ( Biggest Title of Wrestling In India)
4. 500 Wrestlers Participated in International tournaments and secured different positions.
5. The trainees of capt. Chandroop Vaidic Vyayamshala regularly participated in World Senior Wrestling Championships, Olympic Games, Asian Games, Asian Wrestling Championship and won large number of medals for country at National and International Levels.
Guru Captain Chandroop is a NIS Qualified International Wrestling Coach and being qualified coach he gave a huge contribution in wrestling by creating so many medalist wrestlers for the country.
Hon’ble Lt. Governer, Delhi. Sh. Tajender Khanna awarded him for extraordinary award for contribution as a army man.
Keeping in views his outstanding performance in wrestling in both international and indian style he awarded with “GURU DRONACHARYA AWARD IN 2010” Which the biggest honor in india to the trainers under the hand of her excellency Smt. Pratibha Patil, President Of India.
Deep Denotation and contribution in wrestling in indian style the wrestling federation has crowned him as “KUSHTI SAMRAT”.
It is a matter of proud to keep alive wrestling in india at high level, It is his credibility.
